1 Thessalonians 5: 16 - 18 NIV 16 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances;for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus. We've all had struggles and been through something in our lives. We've seen setbacks, heartbreak and health problems. As Christians, we use Sunday to recharge, right? Well, perhaps we should start using Sunday to rejoice. Rejoice no matter what you've gone through during the week. Rev. Macon stated during this sermon that a faith that hasn't been tested is a faith that can't be trusted. Rejoice through your tests and look for these marks of a good Christian. The first mark is praise. What can the enemy do to someone who overflows with joy? Think about it. Don't you notice how much angrier someone gets when you don't get angry back, and perhaps, smile? The second mark is prayer without ceasing. You have access to God at all times and acceptance though all things. What power!! The third mark is a prevailing person. In everything, give thanks. Be blessed!
